INFLUENCING SKILLS

AIM To provide the key skills in influencing others in their
decision making and motivation.

BACKGROUND Having good ideas and something to contribute to the organisation is important. However, it is equally important that each person can get those ideas and initiatives across to influence others.

CONTENTS
·  Recognising your own style of delivery and strengths

·  Understand the needs of your target population in one
   to one or group situations

·  Preparing your case

·  Getting the message across
   - One to One meetings
   - Group Meetings
   - Presentations

·  Using influencing tools

·  Recognising the environment (company culture) and
   matching requirements

·  Defining success and follow-up

CUSTOMISATION It is possible to provide significant modules on any one of the above topics. However, the day is designed to establish the basics of influencing. Particular emphasis can be given to specific needs and skill requirements.

DURATION Generally one day basd on previous training and
experience.
